After having worked in and managed camera stores, photo labs, darkrooms, and studios over the last 30 years, I opened Sterling Images. At first Sterling Images was a digital photo lab. But, over the years it grew and evolved into Southern Oregon's premier Digital Imaging, Photoshop and Digital Camera training business. The name was eventually changed to David Vanderlip Training.

With my love of teaching, along with my insights into the ways people think, understand and learn new technologies, I have developed a unique and highly effective method of teaching. I offer private training, classes, lectures, seminars and online training in the areas of Digital Cameras, Digital Imaging, Photography, Photoshop, Lightroom and photo organization (and a many more things). I've written four books on photography. The first two have been retired from publication due to changes in the photography world. The latest books are on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and depth of field in digital photography.  I plan to write many more books. As a full-time teacher and trainer, I'm here to help you.
