Understanding Color in Digital Photo Editing
Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, 6pm-9pm, $45
When editing photos, color is one of the most important elements to control. Unfortunately, color isn't a simple, straight foward concept. In fact, most photographers struggle working with color because they don't really understand the differences between color, hue, saturation, luminance, temperature and tint. In this class, learn those differences as well as the "color wheel" for digital photography, bit depths, profiles and white balance. Take your photo editing to a controlled level by really understanding color. Working with RAW, Lightroom and Photoshop will be faster, easier and simpler once you understand "color".

2-Mondays, February 5th & 12th, 2018, 12:00pm-4:00pm, $99
Adobe Lightroom is the top photo editing and image management program today.  It does not replace Photoshop, they're used in conjunction with each other.  In this presentation style class we'll go through the most important parts of the Library and Develop sections.  You'll be able to get photos into Lightroom, organize them, edit them and export them with much more speed and efficiency. For those users who have tried learning Lightroom on their own or by hit and miss learning through "internet resources," this class will quickly get you back on course in the right and happy direction.  For users who feel a bit of review is in order, this class is perfect for that as well.  This class is for beginners to intermediates, no prior classes are required. My book, Lightroom 6 & CC: Start Here First - The Library and Develop will also be available for $35.

Understanding Exposure
Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, 6pm-9pm, $45
Understanding how exposure works is one of the most important core fundamentals in photography. It is also one of the more complex areas in photography to really grasp. Exposure is a difficult concept to teach oneself and with much misinformation in today's photography teachings, it's all-to-common to be misdirected and confused about how exposure really works. In this class we'll dig deep and really learn how to think about exposure modes and how aperture, shutter speed and ISO can work to your benefit in a more effective way.
