With hackers, crackers, ransomware, viruses, Trojans, Spyware, Spam, wifi sniffing, data logging, eavesdropping, tracking, browser hijacking and, of course, identity theft on the rise more than ever, it’s now more important than ever to protect yourself and your computer. In today’s world it’s not enough to just have an anti-virus program on your computer and renew it once-in-while.  In this class, we will be talking about alternatives to your current anti-virus, as well as, VPNs, safer browsers, browser extensions, browser preferences, search engines, public WiFi and more.  Securing your phone’s internet connection is of utmost importance.  In addition, we’ll discuss good practices for internet use and email safety.  And finally, we'll address the dreaded password problem.  It’s important to protect your data in order to protect your friends and family from hackers steal their contact information from your computer.  How protected are you?
